Music teaching platform for start-up Note-Bridge

My individual bachelor thesis project was oriented towards the optimization of user experience for an online music school platform that allowed local musicians to teach beginner musicians. The project was for a start-up called Note-Bridge which called the need to first create a brand design guide as there was no prior brand identity for the start-up that could be translated into the design.
CONCEPT
This project taught me how to approach clients and define their real needs, even if they think they already know what they think they want. Next to that, it allowed me to experience working in a tech start-up team in which fast-paced decisions have to be made. The start-up had created an initial working application but was experiencing a lack of engagement which first had to be tested to later find ways to improve it.
The new design had to guide the user towards purchasing their first lesson and communicate the brand image. With the help of user testing, user satisfaction, intuitiveness, and brand communication were tested for multiple design iterations to create a final design that combined the best of each aspect and was usable on multiple devices.
